From our kitchen
Recipes, made slowly.
A collection of favorites, tested repeatedly in our kitchen. Most are old, several are unusually simple, and all of them pair naturally with an Almost Fruit preserve.
Classic Thumbprint Cookies
Tender shortbread with a jewel of Almost Raspberry at the center. A tin of these keeps for a week, though we suspect it never will.
Holiday Glazed Ham with Almost Apricot
A quietly spectacular centerpeice. Almost Apricot, warmed with mustard and a little vinegar, makes a glaze that glosses without sweetening too loudly.
Layered Morning Yogurt Parfait
A breakfast that looks considered. Whole-milk yogurt, toasted oat crumble, and ribbons of Almost Blueberry — served cold in a tall glass.
Peanut Butter & Almost Jelly Tart
A grown-up version of the childhood pairing. A shortbread base, a silken peanut butter layer, and a glossy topcoat of warmed Almost Strawberry.
Brie & Almost Cherry Crostini
Toast, cold brie, a careful dollop of Almost Cherry, a single thyme leaf. A small, steady masterpiece at the start of dinner.
Lemon Icebox Bars with Almost Blueberry Drizzle
Cool, sharp, and softly set. A graham-crumb base, a bright lemon filling, and a final drizzle of warmed Almost Blueberry. Keeps beautifully overnight.
